According to the Cumberland Times News, a resident in the 13300 block of Winchester Road was not injured when he fought off two hooded intruders who broke into his home just before 5 a.m., Thursday. Maryland State Police said two suspects entered a door to an apartment and used a hammer to attempt to break down a door. The resident attempted to fight back with the subjects, who then fled the scene in the area of Winchester Road and the Motor Vehicles Administration building. The victim was not harmed, police said. One suspect wore a red hoodie and the other a black hoodie at the time of the incident. Anyone with information in the case may contact state police at 301-729-2101.
