Following several weeks of improving metrics, Maryland's health department reported an increase in both the state's coronavirus positivity rate and in the total number of hospitalizations Tuesday.
805 patients were receiving hospital care because of the virus. The positivity was measured at 3.96%.
23 additional deaths were included in Tuesday's update.
22.1% of Maryland’s population has now received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
