City Employees To See Increase In Health Insurance Deductibles

Rate hikes; a reduction in personnel; across the board department cuts; and dipping into the reserve fund were all ideas discussed Tuesday as the Cumberland City Council worked toward finalizing its budget for FY 2019. Last year the council took the controversial action of increasing taxes by nearly ten percent- and although talk at that time suggested a gradual reversal beginning as soon as this year- that appears unlikely based on the work session dialogue.
