Increase In Property And Income Tax Revenues For Allegany Co.

Allegany County is looking at a slight, 1.5 percent increase, which came from property and income tax revenues- however the county commissioners say they won’t be splurging or increasing budget requests. Nearly all of the $308,955 property tax increase can be attributed to the $295,000 payment in lieu of taxes agreement between the county and the owners of the Rocky Gap Lodge and Golf Resort according to Jason Bennett, the county’s finance director…
