Jealous Unveils Proposals That He Says Would Boost State’s Economy & Expand Job Opportunities

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Ben Jealous unveiled proposals recently that he said would boost the state’s economy and expand job opportunities for Marylanders. He proposed prohibiting companies from asking about applicants’ criminal histories and increasing the minimum wage. He also proposed improving public transit to shorten workers’ commutes, expanding high-speed internet and offering government jobs to people who can’t find private employment.  Jealous said he has campaigned in every part of the state- and despite some differences- there are several common concerns that can be heard from Cumberland to Baltimore…

    Where does the money for this come from???? “and offering government jobs to people who can’t find private employment.” We already know that one of his proposed solutions will increase our taxes by 10%. Another one he said he has no idea how much it would cost. Jealous would bankrupt the state of Maryland.
