JFK Assassination Remembered

It was 50 years ago today when President John F Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas bringing an abrupt halt to a period in Washington that some historians have referred to as “Camelot”.  Just 46 years of age and only a thousand days into his first term in the White House when he was killed, November 22nd remains one of the watershed moments in this nation’s history. Former state senator and FSU Political Science professor, John Bambacus was entering his senior year in high school when he heard the news as he walked to his car…





 

Anytime a life is ended at such a young age, the question is asked “what might have been”. While there is no shortage of books on the subject of how Kennedy’s assassination may have altered world history, Bambacus said such speculation is just that…speculation…and it’s difficult to project how history would have played out had JFK had lived…
