September 23rd, 2013 by WCBC Radio

An Anne Arundel County judge has rejected a request of a number of gun owners groups to impose a temporary restraining order on the Maryland State Police, to prevent having workers from other state agencies review gun license applications. Anne Arundel County Judge Nancy Davis-Loomis, denied the request after a conference in her chambers Thursday. The plaintiffs have the option of pursuing a motion for a preliminary injunction to stop the practice. Patrick Shomo, president of Maryland Shall Issue which is one of the plaintiffs, says the state is using common passwords to access the data based, and that is not secure.
