Just Two New COVID Cases in Allegany County

The Allegany County Health Department reports that 26,628 Allegany County residents have received their first dose of a two-dose vaccine against COVID-19 (37.8% of the population), with 24,683 of those individuals now fully vaccinated with their second dose (35.1% of the population). The number of residents who have received the single-dose Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccine is 2,965 (4.2%).
By comparison, the state reported that 57.2% of all Marylanders had received their first dose of a two-dose vaccine, with 51.6% having had both doses and 4.3% vaccinated with the single-dose vaccine.
Allegany County COVID-19 Case Statistics as of June 29:
 New COVID Cases: 2 (cumulative total 7,056)
 Additional Deaths: 0 (cumulative total 212)
 Cases Per 100,000 Population: 1.22 (Maryland: 0.93)
 Positivity Rate: 1.06% (Maryland: 0.56%)
The Allegany County Health Department will fully reopen for all in-person services on Thursday, July 1. Masks will continue to be required for all individuals age 5 and older when inside health department buildings.
