During his emergency COVID-19 briefing Tuesday, West Virginia Governor Jim Justice announced a new color would be added to the state's color-coded county alert system map. Gold will be the color between the “orange and yellow” advisory. Gold will include cases with the rate of 10-14.9. Governor Justice said the “gold” advisory needed to happen because the range is too wide for the color-coded system. Although his administration has been criticized in some circles for too often changing the guidelines, Justice said it’s imperative for government and citizens alike to be prepared to adapt when it comes to matters of safety…
