Kahl Preparing for PACE Reception Agenda

The 40th annual PACE Legislative Reception will be held in Annapolis next month- and once again the county will be looking to secure state dollars for key water and sewer infrastructure projects. Paul Kahl, director of public works, presented the county commissioners with an overview of the meeting agenda that has been set up with various state department heads to outline the priority list. Those meetings will take place during the day prior to the evening PACE reception. The projects listed in the agenda could take at least 30 years and cost $200 million to complete. Kahl said that the pre-PACE meetings have been taking place for more than two decades and have proven an invaluable resource for the county in both securing grant funds and establishing strong relationships with key state agency representatives…
