Keyser Man Arrested Following Assault

On Sunday,  the Cumberland Police Department responded to an Arch Street residence for a reported Disturbance.  Upon the Officers arrival they spoke to the resident who stated she wanted Todd Grimes to leave her residence.  Grimes walked outside and spoke to the Officers.  Grimes appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and was advised not to drive away from the scene.  Grimes became argumentative and decided to return to the residence.  He was yelling and was advised not to enter the residence.  Grimes ignored the warning and pushed a Cumberland Police Officer as he entered the residence.  Grimes was then placed under arrest.  During the arrest, Grimes refused to place his hands behind his back and resisted the lawful arrest.  He was transported to the Cumberland Police Department where he was awaiting a bond hearing at the Allegany County District Court.

Charge:

 

Second Degree Assault, Failure to Obey a Lawful Order, Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.
