Keyser Officials Debate Swimming Pool Funding

April 1st, 2017 by WCBC Radio

Although money has been included in the City of Keyser's budget to operate the John R. Shelton Swimming Pool again for six weeks this summer, some members of the Keyser City Council are apparently wondering if there isn't a better use for the money. The Mineral Tribune reports members of the Save the Pool Committee, however, are moving ahead with plans to continue raising funds to keep the aging recreational facility open for at least a short while again this summer. Shawn Snyder told the Mineral News Tribune that the concensus  is to open the pool. City administrator Randy Amtower says he budgeted funds in preparation for the committee's decision to open the pool.
