Knobley Tunnel Day

July 27th, 2019 by WCBC Radio

Hundreds of visitors are expected in Carpendale today as the town holds its second Knobley Tunnel Day.   While visitors will have to admire the tunnel from the outside as it is closed for repairs, there will be plenty to do in Carpendale.  Over 26 vendors, six Miss Falcon contestants with food and activities, and displays by the West Virginia Department of Resources (DNR) and more will line the walkway to the tunnel.  The event gets underway at 10 a.m. and will continue until 4 p.m. with activities for all ages including face painting, fingerprinting by the Ridgeley Police Department, corn hole, raffles, silent auction, bounce house, dunking booth and more.
