Kobe Bryant is dead. The N-B-A legend was involved in a helicopter crash in Los Angeles County. 5 people were on board, including Bryant's 13 year old daughter, Gianna. Officials say there are no survivors.
It was foggy in Malibu when the helicopter went down. Multiple sources confirming to ABC News that Kobe Bryant was on board a chopper that he often flew in along with four other people. Everybody on board killed in the crash. Bryant made it known that he liked to get around LA on his helicopter. That was his means of transportation. The chopper going down into a mountainside in Malibu early this morning.
Ironically, Kobe Bryant dies less than 24 hours after LeBron James surpasses him last night for career points.
James reacting post game to this now eerie milestone. "I'm happy just to be in any conversation with Kobe Bean Bryant, one of the all time greatest basketball players to ever play, one of the all time greatest Lakers. The man got two jerseys hanging up in the Staples Center, it's just crazy."
Bryant a five-time NBA Champ who went straight from high school to the pros.

Bryant was returning from a trip to Philadelphia where he watched LeBron pass him for third place on the all time scoring list.
