One incumbent returned to office and another was ousted in this week's Westernport Town Council election. Mayor Danial Laffey received 294 votes, defeating Donald Smith who received just 167 votes. Two commissioner seats were up for election and they will be held by John Martin and Tim Jackson. Incumbent Commissioners Peter Davis finished third and out of the running.
