CUMBERLAND – Columbia Gas and Cumberland Fire Department units responded to the 500 block of Greene Street in the area of Children’s Medical Group for a large natural gas leak, according to fire department officials.
The incident was first reported to the Allegany County Joint Communications Center around 10 p.m. Wednesday. Cumberland Fire and EMS units responded. Residents in a 2 block radius had been evacuated but have since been allowed to return to their homes. No injuries have been reported. Fire units are clear of the scene.
