Late night structure fire in Oldtown

Volunteer firefighters from three counties responded to a structure fire on Cresap Mill Road late Monday night, according to the Allegany County 911 emergency center. No injuries were reported in the 9:18 p.m. incident. The Cumberland Times News reports the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office investigated, but no further information was available Tuesday morning concerning the cause and origin of the fire, ownership of the property and the amount of damage that resulted to the residence. Volunteer firefighters from Oldtown, District 16, Flintstone, Baltimore Pike, Paw Paw, Wiley Ford and Patterson Creek responded upon alert by dispatchers at 911 emergency centers in Allegany, Mineral and Morgan counties. Units were on the scene for four hours.
