Legislation May Mean Good News for Dan’s Mountain Wind Project

A recently passed federal omnibus spending bill has good news for some groups including those who work in the wind energy industry.  When President Obama signed the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2016 into law Dec. 18, he signed into law all the amendments and special provisions. Those provisions include an extension of wind and other renewable energy credits. Delegate Wendell Beitzel says that could be good news for the Dan’s Mountain Wind Farm project that was shot down recently when the  Allegany County Board of Zoning Appeals denied an application for variances and and a special excedption.  Beitzel says however that with renewable energy credits surviving  the federal budget process- the project, perhaps in a different form, could move forward in the future…
