Members of the Frostburg Business and Professionals Association gathered at the Old Depot last evening to hear about economic development from a variety of perspectives. Speakers included Congressman John Delaney, State Senator George Edwards, Delegate Wendell Beitzel, and local elected officials.
The highlight was a presentation that explained the process of Dry Fracking. Steve Moore, of Orbital ATK, told the crowd of about 50 that his company has the technology to frack without the millions of gallons of water, chemicals, and surface footprint associated with hydraulic fracturing…
Following the presentation, Allegany County Commissioner Bill Valentine offered to host a test well for the process, which has been used in over 600 other locations.
