Little Orleans Man Injured In Motorcycle/Deer Collision

Driver/passengers(s)/pedestrian: Joseph Gilmore 62, of Little Orleans, MD

 

Narrative: Master Trooper S. Bussard from the Hagerstown Barack responded to a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a deer at 3762 Western Pike in Hancock MD.  His investigation revealed that Joseph Gilmore of Little Orleans MD, was operating a 1990 Honda motorcycle in the area of 3762 Western Pike when he struck a deer that was standing in the roadway.  Mr. Gilmore was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained injuries requiring transport to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.  Maryland State Police Trooper 5 airlifted Mr. Gilmore to Shock Trauma for treatment.  The roadway was temporarily shut down for investigation.
