The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a * Flood Warning for... Northeastern Allegany County in western Maryland... Northeastern Mineral County in eastern West Virginia... North central Hampshire County in eastern West Virginia... * Until 130 AM EDT Wednesday. * At 728 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain which will cause flooding. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to one inch will be possible. * Some locations that may experience flooding include... Cumberland, Fort Ashby, Ridgeley, Wiley Ford, Green Spring, Flintstone, Oldtown, Spring Gap, Patterson Creek, Pleasant Valley, Short Gap, Wagoner, Pumpkin Center, North Branch and Wolfe Mill. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
