Local Gas Prices Soar

Gas prices have jumped eight cents per gallon nationally in the past week and 25 cents compared to a month ago to $1.97 per gallon, the highest price in two months. Relatively low oil costs continue to provide drivers with year-over-year savings at the pump, and consumers are saving 45 cents per gallon compared to this same date last year. Maryland’s average price at the pump is a penny higher than the national average at $1.98 per gallon, but up ten cents from a week ago…while Cumberland saw prices shoot up 16 cents…jumping to  $1/94 a gallon
