The Allegany County NAACP Branch 7007 will hold its fourth annual Martin Luther King Day celebration Jan. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McKendree United Methodist Church of Potomac Park on McMullen Highway. The celebration of King’s birthday will feature a presentation of his historic “I Have A Dream” speech by the Rev. Darin Mency. Allegany County NAACP Branch President Carmen Jackson encourages local youth to attend the inspirational program to learn more about King and how his ideas and principles can be incorporated in the community.
