November 23rd, 2019 by WCBC Radio

The US Wind Force Foundation Inc. has announced the recipients of the ninth round of grants from its Community Benefit Fund associated with the Pinnacle Wind Farm, which is operated by Clearway Energy Group.  Eighteen grants ranging from $250 to $3,000 and totaling $22,250 were allocated to local projects, bringing the eight-year total of donations from the wind farm to $213,775.  Thirty-two completed grant applications were received and evaluated by a local Allocation Committee made up of eight members of the community. The committee is chaired by Keyser resident Cindy Pyles.

I’m surprised that no one has commented on US Wind Force trying to buy good will in the community. Let’s look at local corporate contributions.
US Wind Force is donating money to community projects while it hopes to provide more work as it builds out more turbines.
Verso has contributed 675 unemployed former workers while it dumps black liquor into the Potomac River.
At the same time everyone wants Verso back and no one wants US Wind Force.

That’s they tax payers money just being given back to them in the form of grants. No one wants Verso back just someone who wants to run a paper mill.
