Local Tourism on the Rise; County Funding Stagnant

Although Allegany County Tourism grew in 2014 almost double the rate of the state overall and has been making tremendous strides for the past five years- local funding for tourism remains stagnant. According to the most recent report, tourism generated $22 million in local taxes in 2014.
