Lt. Gov. Rutherford Tells Local Officials That Western MD Is A Priority To Gov. Hogan

Although not experiencing the economic growth that most of the state has been enjoying- Lt. Governor Boyd Rutherford told local elected officials that Western Maryland is very much a priority for the Governor Larry Hogan. Providing essentially a “state of the state” address as he spoke at the annual Lincoln Day Dinner at the Cumberland Country Club sponsored by the Allegany County Republican Central Committee- Rutherford highlighted the accomplishments of the Hogan administration which has been in office for two and a half years. Statewide, Rutherford reports the unemployment rates stands at 4.3 percent and the rate of growth ranks No. 1 in the mid-Atlantic. Locally, the Lt Governor pointed to the millions of dollars the state has invested in Allegany County infrastructure and capital projects including funding for a new high school….
