Lt. Governor Rutherford Visits State Parks In Garrett County

In continuing towards a goal of visiting every state park in Maryland, Lt Governor Boyd Rutherford visited Garrett County on Friday with a stop at Herrington Manner State Park in Oakland. Rutherford said he was inspired to visit every Maryland park after learning that former Virginia governor Terry McAuliffe had done something similar.  Also Friday, Rutherford visited Sang Run State Park and the Youghiogheny River Natural Environment Area.  On Saturday, he made visits to Swallow Falls and Deep Creek Lake state parks.     Can’t an elected official just show an interest in our area, and our beautiful natural resources? I’m sure just by visiting, it puts our area more in the forefront of their minds, and helps those in Annapolis that make the laws and approve the funding, remember that we are out here. Don’t look a prospective gift horse in the mouth.
