Cumberland city police made an arrest Friday evening as a man was wielding a machete. Police responded to Harrison Street at 7:24 pm and were told that a Lavale man, Robert Kyle Miller, age 44, threw a brick at a vehicle. The occupants exited the vehicle and Miller drew a machete from a backpack. He began to swing the machete in an attempt to strike an individual. Miller was arrested at the scene and charged with first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, and disorderly conduct. He was held on $25,000 bond.
