The ever growing Maryland Rural Counties Coalition met in Annapolis recently for its annual economic summit- with Senate President Mike Miller the keynote speaker. The coalition was formed four years ago in an effort to give Maryland rural communities a voice when it comes to statewide legislation. Allegany County Commissioners President Bill Valentine serves as a member of the coalition’s board of directors.
