The American Cancer Society will host Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, a walk to benefit the organization’s breast cancer programs for patient and caregivers, research, education and advocacy, on Saturday October 8 at Canal Place Festival Grounds in Cumberland. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is described as inspiring event that honors and celebrates breast cancer survivors, educates people about how to reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early, and raises funds and awareness to end the disease. Jennifer Hare of Pharmacare is one of the events key organizers and she addressed the Cumberland Rotary Club Tuesday to promote this years activities.
