On Friday at 10:10AM, Allegany County Sheriff Office responded to 16301 Brice Hollow Road in Cumberland for a reported disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputies met with the homeowner, who stated that Joshua Daniel Friend was on their property and refused to leave after being told to do so. Mr. Friend, age 29 of Cumberland was placed under arrest. The homeowner had stated that Mr. Friend had made threats to burn down their home and also an apartment building in Cumberland that Mr. Friend lived at. Mr. Friend was charged with 2 counts of threat of arson and 1 count of trespassing. Mr. Friend was held on $25,000 bond after an initial appearance in District Court.
