Man Arrested on Breaking and Entering

On June 25, 2020, The Cumberland City Police responded to a Boone St residence in reference to a Breaking and Entering complaint. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the victims inside the residence. They advised they woke up this morning and found that their television had been stolen from inside their home. They advised they had locked their home prior to going to sleep for the night and did not know anyone had broken in. They also advised that the neighbor’s home attached to their home shares a common basement. Officers then made contact with the neighbors. At this time, a female from that residence was carrying the stolen TV from the home. It was discovered that a male subject in the home, Tristen Lee Dorsey, had entered the home through the basement and removed the television. Dorsey was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters. He was charged with 1st and 4th degree burglary, as well as theft $100-$1500. He was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his Initial Appearance where he was held on $10,000 bond.

Arrested:  Tristen Lee Dorsey          Age: 23 of Cumberland, MD

Charges:  Burglary 1st, Burglary 4th, Theft $100-$1500
