On Saturday, at approximately 3:00 PM, the Cumberland Police responded to the area of Constitution Park for a check on well being.
When police arrived they found a vehicle operated by Stephen Charles Morgret parked partially in the grass and partially in the roadway. Officers immediately observed Morgret to be in possession of Suboxone, a Schedule III narcotic. Further investigation determined Morgret could not safely operate a motor vehicle.
He was placed under arrest for CDS Possession Other Than Marijuana, Driving Under the Influence, Driving While Impaired by Controlled Dangerous Substance, and related traffic charges. He was taken to the District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond hearing where he was released on his personal recognizance pending trial in District Court.
