On Monday, 08/27/2012, members of the C3I Warrant/Fugitive Unit arrested 35 year old Christopher Sean Kennell, of Cumberland, when he turned himself in after being advised that a warrant had been issued for his arrest.

            The charges are the result of a joint investigation by the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office and the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I) into allegations that Kennell had inappropriate sexual contact with a 15 year old juvenile male. As part of the investigation, Investigators served a search warrant at Kennell’s residence and recovered items of evidence to support the allegations.

            Kennell was charged with 3^rd Degree Sex Offense, 4^th Degree Sex Offense, Sex Abuse of a Minor, Assault, and Perverted Practice. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance, and is currently incarcerated at the Allegany County Detention Center on $50,000.00 bond pending his next court appearance
