Maryland Assessment Teams Completes Evaluation at Cumberland Healthcare Center

April 17th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

A team of Maryland specialists arrived this afternoon at Cumberland Healthcare Center to evaluate the facility which has been the site of several recent Coronavirus cases.

Allegany County Emergency Services Director James Pyles issued the folloiwng statement:

The State Assessment Team has completed their evaluation at the Cumberland Healthcare Center located on Winifred Road in Cumberland related to the increasing confirmed cases of COVID-19 and was extremely impressed with the measures the facility has taken for their staff and residents. The team, made up of medical experts and the Army National Guard arrived at the facility just after 4 p.m. today. The assessment of the facility lasted about an hour and has concluded that proper policies and procedures are in place. It is important to stress that if you are not symptomatic, you do not need to be tested. After speaking with the management team of the healthcare facility, as tests become more available they are going to have all residents and staff tested. Staff continue to use PPE precautions in all situations to prevent the spread of the deadly virus. I am extremely impressed with the cooperation between the facility and the state team to ensure residents are being properly taken care of.”

Apparently, no one seems to be concerned about HIPAA. And yes, people can sue for just about anything, if they have the money.

And while you’re whining Mark, how’s that “Ima gonna geta test” thing going for you?

Keep up the good work Soldier.

      > p.p.s Also it’s sad you feel the need to come up with fallacious strawman arguments just because you can’t admit when you are WRONG. You seem to have an ego as fragile as our Great Leader! lol

          > You too, and all your family! Especially your Mom. Side note- Was talking with some nursing home workers and they are upset they aren’t being given the proper PPE to protect their patients. And they are being forced to take in patients from WMD hospital that have NOT been tested and some are put in with dementia patients that can’t be restrained and wonder about. One nurse quit in protest and others may follow. At another home the management warned the staff to NOT post their concerns on FB or other social media. Seems they are more concerned with protecting their rear ends than protecting the residents!!
