May 27th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

Maryland Democratic Party Chairman Bruce Poole announced today that Chuck Conner will serve as Executive Director. Conner will succeed Pat Murray, who will become Campaign Manager for Chris Van Hollen for Senate. The change will be effective in early June.

“Pat Murray reenergized our Party at a critical moment in our history, and we are grateful for his leadership,” said Chairman Poole. “Chuck Conner has strong relationships with Party activists and community leaders, and he understands the importance of bringing the Party together to build a strong and inclusive statewide organization. Chuck is well-prepared to help lead us to victory in November.”

Conner currently serves as Community Outreach Director of the Maryland Democratic Party. He previously served as Stewardship Director at Thread, a Baltimore-based non-profit that engages underperforming high school students confronting significant barriers outside of the classroom. He also served as an aide to House Democratic Caucus Chair Luke Clippinger. Chuck earned a B.A. in Religion from Davidson College, a M.Div. from Duke University, and a J.D. from the Charleston School of Law. He was admitted to the Maryland State Bar in 2014.
