Maryland Gun Control Measure Opposed By Law Enforcement

In theory, Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley says the primary objective of his gun control measure- which passed last month in the general assembly- is to make the state safer and to reduce the incidents of violence. While that may be the goal, the bill that was approved saw overwhelming opposition from those who should stand to benefit the most- law enforcement. Delegate Kevin Kelly, an Allegany County democrat, says that lawmakers should not have made this a political issue- they should have followed the advice of police agencies from across the state.     It about control not safty if so why do we kill so many unborn children yet say we want to keep the children safe
