October 20th, 2013 by WCBC Radio

Maryland health officials say more than 2,300 households have enrolled in some form of health insurance through the state's online health benefits exchange. The website has been heavily trafficked and has experienced severe technical problems. Officials say that since the beginning of the month, there have been more than 260,000 visitors to the Maryland Health Connection website, with 34,000 visitors making accounts. Governor Martin O'Malley says he believes the technical problems will not be fully resolved for at least another month.
