August 28th, 2011 by WCBC Radio

Almost 100,000 customers on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Delaware were without power Sunday as Hurricane Irene moved up the eastern seaboard.  Four schools in Worcester County are serving as shelters.  The Chesapeake Bay Bridge closed to traffic Saturday night at 7:30 and was still closed early Sunday morning.  One person was killed in Queen Anne’s County when a tree fell on a house.
