Maryland Scraps Health Exchange Website

Maryland is expected to scrap its glitch plagued health exchange website today, and use the one now in place in Connecticut.  Governor O’Malley said that the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange Board agreed to replace the state’s health exchange website, with the one used in Connecticut. The governor compared this move to overhauling a transmission in a car, and the changes would be in place in time for the next open enrollment period to begin November 15th.  No word on the cost of the move. The website has cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars to maintain and fix. The governor said that while there were a myriad of problems, the state was still able to meet its projected goal of sign-ups…
