Marylanders Split On Expanded Gambling Issue

A poll released this week shows that Marylander’s appear split on the issue of whether or not to expand gambling in the state to include another casino, as well as adding table games. Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot, who has been fighting a losing battle in his efforts to keep slots and casinos out of the state, says that he hopes that voters are finally realizing that gambling is not the answer to the state’s economic woes. In addition, he says that it is clear that gambling is attracting the wrong element to Maryland…
