A 49 year old McHenry man was arrested Saturday afternoon, after allegedly trying to kill his 39 year old wife by beating her with a baseball bat.
James Ptomey had already fled the scene when State Police arrived at a residence on Mosser Road.
His wife was suffering from injuries to the head and face, and had obtained a protective order.
