McKay Disappointed But Still Supportive Of Blaine Young

March 25th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

House 1C Delegate Mike McKay tells WCBC News that he is disappointed, but supportive of his longtime friend Blaine Young who finds himself- for a second time- involved in a sex scandal. A former Frederick County Commissioner and member of a prominent political family who once considered running for Maryland governor now faces prostitution charges, more than 15 years after surviving a sex scandal known as Frederick's "black book" affair.  Young, 44, has been charged with four counts of prostitution in a police sting operation. Once considered a rising star of the Maryland GOP- Young has been a regular speaker at Conservative Tea Party events…

Four years ago, McKay- then an Allegany County Commissioner- teamed with Young to start up the Maryland Rural Counties Coalition and the two men became close friends. McKay says he did reach out to Young when the scandal story broke earlier this week…
