The Maryland Judiciary Case resource site is reporting that 24 year old Michael Thomas McKenzie has posted $25,000 bond after it was set this morning in Allegany County Circuit Court.
Late last week, the Allegany County State's Attorney's Office presented the case to the Grand Jury, and an indictment was issued for McKenzie, of Frostburg. He was charged with 2nd Degree Rape, a felony, and 4th Degree Sex Offense, for the sexual abuse of a minor student by a person in a position of authority.
McKenzie, a former parttime custodian at Mountain Ridge High School and Mount Savage School, also faces three other misdemeanor counts.
