Speaking with the media earlier this month, Maryland’s new gaming chief predicted at least several more years of significant casino revenue growth. Gordon Medenica, director of the Lottery and Gaming Control Agency, reported that the state took in more than $1 billion in revenue from the lottery and casino gambling. Medenica, who started in the job in June, cited the MGM National Harbor casino and resort scheduled to open in the second half of 2016 as the primary driver of that growth. He says the new casino won’t be impacted by casinos in neighboring states…
