Representatives from the Maryland Department of the Environment will be in Allegany County this week to meet with local officials regarding at least two business projects being held up as a result of new maps pertaining to the floodplain in the area. County Commissioner Creade Brodie Jr. said he was made aware of a project in LaVale and another in Lonaconing both being delayed as a result of bureaucratic red tape.
