Cumberland City officials, after contracting with an outside firm to prepare an economic development strategy, participated in the first phase of the process with a kickoff meeting Tuesday afternoon. The objective in retaining the services of RKG Associates of New Hampshire for a cost in grant money of $54,600 is too get an objective, fresh look at the city’s strengths and weaknesses and to develop a long range strategy.
