Meeting On River Project To Be Held Tonight

A huge crowd is expected tonight meeting on a proposed River Project. Called “Potomac River Project Community Conversation,” the meeting will feature experts in funding and environmental concerns with the public encouraged to attend and ask questions. The River Project consists of removal of the dam under the Cumberland-Ridgeley, W.Va., bridge, allowing the North Branch of the Potomac River to return to its natural state, which would also clear the way for a recreational area that would include canoeing, kayaking and boating. The event is being sponsored by the Allegany County Chamber of Commerce. Chamber Director Stu Czapski Officials at the Chamber of Commerce said the vision for the River Project not only involves the removal of the Blue Bridge dam, but also has the potential to inject the community with new opportunities.…

    Where can one submit questions about the River Project, if it isn’t possible to attend the conversation being held @ the Allegany County Museum tonight?
