Meeting Scheduled for Downtown Input

July 18th, 2012 by WCBC Radio

Residents, business owners and other members of the public are invited to attend a 90-minute meeting tonight (Wednesday) at Windsor Hall  to raise questions and concerns and offer input on issues affecting the downtown mall, including behavior, health and security.  The meeting is being hosted by a number of groups, including the Downtown Cumberland Business Association, Downtown Development Commission, Main Street Maryland, the city of Cumberland and the city’s economic development and police departments. Originally the meeting, which is slated to begin at 7 p.m., was scheduled to be held at City Hall, but a strong initial response forced a change in location. Downtown Manager Ed Mullaney said that no topic will be off limits as the city is looking for some constructive criticism and some positive recommendations.
