Metz Comments on Keeping Interim Superintendent with Coronavirus Restrictions

The last time Allegany County had a search for a schools superintendent, Jeff Metz was a member of the Board of Education.

In an interview this week with WCBC News, Metz said the hurdles provided by the pandemic make it such that asking Jeff Blank to remain as an interim for another year to conduct a normal process is in the best interest of the school system…

The current timeline, which was set prior to the COVID-19 crisis, calls for the next superintendent to start on July 1.
